Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model of healthcare that focuses on the physician-patient relationship. We provide high-quality care that is convenient for busy families, and we use technology (text messaging, online scheduling, virtual visits, etc.) to augment the care and convenience of our members. DPC practices don’t bill through insurance and therefore eliminate the constraints, confusion around billing, and the price hikes that come with insurance. The DPC model has the benefit of comprehensive care with a full range of personalized services through a low membership fee.

This model allows us to provide our patients with personalized care and direct access to their physician. Visits can be as brief or extended as necessary, and members can reach out to us as often as they need. Our fixed price allows our members to budget their healthcare finances without worrying about unexpected or hidden medical costs. You never pay a copay or have to worry that an unexpected illness will ruin your family's monthly budget.

Membership fees are automatically charged monthly to your checking account or credit card. Since your membership fee is automatically charged, you never have to worry about an unpaid bill or wonder if any insurance claim has been processed or how much you still owe.
-
The membership model is actually more affordable for most families! For one, families with up to 3 children pay no more than $300 per month, and each additional child is only $50 per month.
There is a one-time enrollment fee per family, which includes the Nonagon telehealth kit. After that, the monthly fee is based on your child's age. When broken down by day, the payment is less than your daily Starbucks drink. There are no hidden fees.
In a traditional practice, a visit for a simple rash can cost more than $150 out of pocket. Follow-up visits for an upper-respiratory infection with ear infection can easily reach more than $300. At Peach Blossom Pediatrics, ALL of these visits are included in your membership fee no matter how many visits, phone calls, or texts it takes to provide the care your child needs.
-
We recommend all patients have health insurance or join a health sharing ministry to provide coverage for catastrophic events, hospitalization, vaccinations, labs, imaging, and other expensive or unexpected health needs.
Your car insurance covers collisions and major repairs but not car washes, oil changes, or new tires. Your health insurance covers expensive hospitalizations and procedures but most patients pay out of pocket for the vast majority of their healthcare. At Peach Blossom Pediatrics, you just get a lot more value for your money!

Even families with kids considered very healthy are surprised when they think back on the past year and realize just how many doctor appointments they’ve had (and how fast they add up!). Most parents who have kids with ear infections or pink eye wouldn’t say their kids have health issues, yet those families are in the office quite a bit for ear exams so they can get a prescription or advice on care—those 5-minute visits can cost quite a bit at a traditional practice. A new fever, sudden rash, sleeping concerns… It all adds up!
Parents of big kids have their concerns, too! Many will discuss behavior or developmental issues at well-checks, then be charged an extra fee for this. These patients are often scheduled for a follow-ups to evaluate these issues further and check on progress. Those appointments add up quickly at a traditional practice, but at Peach Blossom Pediatrics, they are all part of membership.
DPC practice members love that they don’t have to think twice about scheduling an appointment for “just a runny nose,” because they know it’s covered and they can get peace of mind without a price tag!

Our practice is designed to benefit you when the unexpected happens. Childhood is full of unpredictable illnesses and injuries—bumps, scratches, rashes, and more. When your child needs stitches, has a fever, gets sick while out of town, or needs a last-minute sports physical, we are available to provide peace of mind and compassionate care for your child.
At a traditional large practice, you might not be able to get in quickly and instead be referred to an urgent care or ER for care that could be provided by a pediatrician. A single visit to an ER or urgent care can carry a cost equal to months (or years!) of personalized care at Peach Blossom Pediatrics.
And even if you do only visit the doctor a few times each year for annual physicals or checkups, it will be a whole new experience. Same-day or next-day appointments, no waiting, and a relaxed, casual atmosphere. You will receive a higher level of personalized care that you won’t find in today’s large, busy pediatric practices.

The value we can provide for kids with complex health is unmatched. Membership covers extended appointment times so we can cover everything needed AND we can coordinate care with specialists so you don’t have to. All visits to our office are covered with membership, making it feasible to do frequent check-ins to ensure optimal health. Plus, we’re at your fingertips whenever questions arise—just text, email, or call. Some children with complex medical issues benefit from having appointments virtually or even at home, and we can accommodate that.
-
Yes! We love caring for families of all sizes, so we set a maximum rate of $300 per month for families with up to 3 children, with each additional child is only $50 per month. And, unlike in many traditional practices, we are happy to see the whole family at the same time if that’s what you prefer.
-
The vast majority of day-to-day medical expenses that would be out-of-pocket at a traditional practice are completely covered by your monthly membership fee. In fairness to our patients, if it is something that most patients wouldn't utilize, then we charge for use rather than charge all patients.
▪️ Lab tests - we have contracted with LabCorp and Quest to obtain significantly lower rates for lab tests, and we pass these savings on to you. We will draw the blood (no charge) and bill separately for the tests, but there will not be any extra up-charge or fees (you pay what we pay!). If you do wish to utilize your insurance for labs, an order can be taken to any outside facility. Our prices will almost invariably be significantly cheaper for those with high deductibles.
▪️ X-rays and other imaging - we will arrange for these to be done nearby, as needed, and the facility will bill your insurance
▪️ Vaccines - we contract with a company called VaxCare to provide vaccines in our office, which bills your insurance (if you are uninsured or your plan does not cover vaccines, we will provide these through the Georgia VFC program at no cost to you)
▪️ Procedures like ear piercings & tongue-tie clipping (frenotomy)
▪️ In-depth assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorders
▪️ Counseling services - we have arranged for a 20% Peach Blossom Member discount with a nearby counseling provider
▪️ Specialist visits and ER or Urgent Care visits
Members will enjoy a 50% discount on a la carte services offered at Peach Blossom Pediatrics.

You can book an appointment at any time online (even if it's 11:30 p.m. and you need those ears checked in the morning!), instead of waiting until the office opens and praying we have a spot. Our small practice panel makes it easy to accommodate same-day, next-day, and urgent visits. If you don’t see the same-day appointment you need on-line, you can call or text and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
-
Patients say they visit urgent care when they don't have access to their care team, so we at Peach Blossom Pediatrics do our best to break down those barriers to your access to care!
We are available through talk, text and email —we can often diagnose or provide peace of mind with a simple photo! We also offer virtual care using the Nonagon telehealth system, which allows for quick diagnosis of a wide range of problems.
You'll love being able to book appointments online, too, because you don't have to wait until open hours to schedule. We can accommodate same-day or next-day visits, and you’ll be in and out, rather than waiting forever in the lobby.
-
Yep! Your membership includes 2 home visits per patient per year (or 5 with the Fourth Trimester Package), with more available for an additional fee.
Dr. Whitney will also visit your child’s school or daycare in lieu of a home visit, provided that there is an appropriate pre-arranged chaperone available.
-
Virtual care to the rescue! Call or text us, just like usual! We can arrange a telehealth visit (even easier if you take your telehealth kit with you!) or diagnose that rash with just a photo! If a prescription is necessary, we can send it in to a nearby pharmacy. If necessary, we can help you decide if an urgent care or ER visit is necessary, but a lot of times it won’t be!
-
When you enroll in membership with Peach Blossom Pediatrics, you’ll receive a telehealth kit that is included in your enrollment fee.
The kit includes a digital otoscope (ear camera) that allows you to capture images of your child’s eardrums and can also be used to get views of their mouth & throat. You’ll also receive a simple digital thermometer and a pulse oximeter to check your child’s oxygen level. These devices are pretty awesome, and while you don’t NEED them, it will make virtual care much easier and likely save you a lot of time and hassle coming to the office or visiting urgent care.
-
We will provide advance notice of any planned absences and immediate notice for any absence due to illness or family emergencies. Many times, we will still be available via call, text, email, and do telehealth visits during these times. If Dr. Whitney is completely unavailable, we will do our best to arrange for a board-certified pediatrician to take care of any needs that arise while she is away.
-
As a working parent herself, Dr. Whitney understands the need for flexibility in scheduling. While routine scheduling will be during normal business hours, after-hours and weekend appointments may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. All you have to do is call or text and we’ll do our best to make it happen!
-
At Peach Blossom Pediatrics, we believe wholeheartedly in the necessity, safety, and efficacy of vaccines and will encourage all of our families to have their children fully vaccinated according to the schedule recommended by the CDC and AAP.
However, all families are welcome! No one will be turned away if their children are not vaccinated. Our goal is open dialogue, where your concerns are heard and your questions are answered. Parents’ decisions will be respected, and our desire is to ensure that these decisions are being made with the most accurate information available.
